Designed in a teardrop shape, this highly detailed pendant is inspired by the magnificent Viking artifacts uncovered during excavations at anancient settlement in Wood Quay, Dublin. Over a 1000 years ago, the Vikings raided and plundered Irish monasteries and churches for their gold and silver. The Vikings were driven out of Ireland by the Irish King Brian Boru, but much of their heritage remains.

Beautiful piece of jewelry! A little larger than the earrings and so perfect as a set. The gold bead is set off nicely by the contrasting two-toned sterling silver and the shape of the pendant is graceful.
Lots of compliments on this unique addition to my “all things Irish” collection.
