For over 25 years, this husband and wife duo, Ambrose & Brid O'Halloran, have been making handmade woodturning products in their workshop in Claregalway, Co. Galway. 

This ash candlestick, colored with a spirit dye to have an ebonized appearance, has a very simple, elegant shape which shows the wood at its best. There is a chamfer (a little cut) at the base of the candlestick to lift the appearance of the candlestick on the surface. The brass insert which holds the candle is tapered and grooved to ensure a good fit.
