Bought this for a friend and her daughter. They are very into knitting and crocheting, and they just loved it. I thought it was a bit rough but they said it will be nice and soft when it's blocked. I know nothing about such things. I just know they were very eager to start working with it.

This yarn is so beautiful and soft! I ordered the plum, although I was torn between that and the denim. (Next time, will get the denim!) This is to be a Christmas gift for someone who enjoys knitting and crocheting, especially blankets and sweaters. and who prefers natural fabrics to work with. I also got an Aran sweater pattern book to go with it. The 12 skeins of yarn make quite the bundle and are enough to complete a project with some leftover. It makes me feel glad to think how pleased they will be when they open their gift! Oh, and with the order, Blarney sent a map of Ireland, which was a nice added touch! : D

I loved the yarn color; but I’m working on various knitting projects at this time. So I felt the right thing to do was to return it. I hope that’s OK. I’m using the moss yarn at present and love that color and texture of the tweed yarn. Thank you so much. I hope to purchase your Aran color yarn in the near future because I have patterns that call for that natural color!

I have purchased the Denim, Moss and Plum colors of Blarney yarn and as you can imagine, I am thrilled with the quality and wearability of the items I knit with the wool!
