Last week I ordered a cardigan at Blarney Woollen Mills and today I received my new long buttoned cardigan ‘Deep Sea’! I am very pleased, the cardigan has a beautiful colour and fits very well. This is my second cardigan by Fisherman out of Ireland. Some 15 years ago I had my first one and because I definitely wanted another long cardigan I came upon your website via the agent of Fisherman in the Netherlands. What a lovely -- and practical -- sweater! I love the length (covers even my tunics well), neutral coloring (porridge = white or off-white, gray, & beige, for a white & taupe effect) that works with so many colors and white, and the high collar. It also beautifully compliments my silver/slightly peppered hair. It feels quite warm, but not as heavy as the Aran cabled knits I have from Blarney -- exactly what I wanted this time. If at times you want an extra layer of warmth and a hood, in my opinion it coordinates with the following cape that I already had: Fitting notes: I'm only 5 feet tall, normal weight (107), yet it does NOT swamp me; all I have to do is turn up the cuffs for a perfect fit that will accommodate regular blouses to light or medium weight sweaters. I also HIGHLY recommend buying from Blarney. I've had the best customer service that I can ever recall from Lorraine, the great lady on the other end of any email addressed to customer service. While she's obviously busy and therefore it may take 2-3 work days to get a response, she patiently answered many questions re: the products and how they fit. I did use their free returns/exchange policy for another purchase (at the time of my order, free for returns from USA & EU; there's a link to return info at the bottom of many Blarney web pages). Because I'm hard to fit, I really appreciate this policy. BTW, I've found their measurements are usually spot-on for size selection. A great company in my opinion: beautiful products, fair prices, free returns at the time of this writing, fast service to the US (4-7 business days in my experience for standard shipping) and phenomenal customer service -- it doesn't get any better!

The cardigan is wonderful, the blue not exactly as you see it on the picture, but very pretty. All in all a perfect buy.

This is a most beautiful sweater. I got both colors. It is slightly oversized in a flattering way. Hangs nice without clinging, and covers the neck. I am in love with the Fisherman out of Ireland sweaters. Gorgeous sweaters. Thank you. I wear a size 8-10 and medium is perfect.

Without exaggeration, I can say this is my favorite cardigan ever. It's a beautiful green, with gorgeous flecks, and great quality. It's so warm and cozy, and definitely worth the cost, as you'll be wearing this cardigan forever. I would normally buy a medium if I want it to be roomy, but I went by the measurements listed and purchased the small. It fits perfectly, with plenty of room. I'm 5'3", 130 lbs, if that helps. Just compare the measurements with your favorite sweater and you should be fine in choosing your size.

Absolutely loving this cardigan, lovely and soft, perfect for our cold Melbourne winter. It will certainly be well worn. Haven’t washed yet so can’t comment on this.

This is the most wonderful cardigan I own! It is longer, warmer and actually quite stylish! Obviously, it is well made. Seldom have I found something that I can grab to wear over and over again and never regret that it is part of my comfort and joy!

I have worn this cozy and enveloping sweater every day since I received it. Soft, thick, wonderful high luxurious collar and deep ribbed pockets, deep green with happy flecks of color, a wonderful piece of knitting which makes one happy it is winter. Please think about repeating this style again. Maybe in Donegal brown? Thank you!

I've bought a few Fisherman jumpers over the years as the quality is so excellent. This is no exception. I personally love the high collar which keeps my neck toasty without having to wear a turtleneck. I bought it to wear it at home while i'm working in my office, as it can be a bit chilly, but it's so comfortable, that I find myself wearing it all day. I bought the XL as the L was sold out, but I'm liking the oversized fit. I think it would also be perfect for walks outside under a wind jacket.

I had waited months for the hunter green color and got the M when it came out. At first I wasn't super sure about the texture, this is really the first wool sweater I've gotten at this quality. But after an hour with it on I really fell in love with it. I considered sizing down as the M is oversized on me (usually S or M) but by then S was already sold out. And I just love it too much to send it back. Please restock the green, I'll love to get a piece for my mum :)

So comfy and beautiful. The hunter green makes you feel like a forest elf. Won't take it off again until spring time ;o). I'm 5'11'', and Size M fits perfectly, even the sleeves are long enough.

Orderer the green one and since it arrived, I don't want to wear anything else. It's nice and warm and it fits a casual as well as a more elegant style depending on what you wear with it. This is my favourite piece of clothing for now and I know for many years to come!

Got it! Perfect in every way, of course, like the first Green one. This one is Deep Sea and I'm going to have a hard time decided which color is my favorite. It's a beautiful shade of sea horizon blue with tiny white caps flecked across the surface. Just gorgeous!

I have reviewed this before but I wanted to add that I love this sweater so much I just ordered a second one in the Deep Sea color. This is my favorite sweater EVER. Waiting impatiently!

I will be LIVING in this thing until next April. This cardigan was an early birthday present from my mom. I’m 5’7” with long legs and usually wear L, needing a roomier fit due to my hips/thighs. Mine’s the hunter green in XL and it’s comfy, sturdy, and gloriously cozy, coming down to mid-thigh with plenty of room for lounging. It’s long enough to button up and wear with tights, but roomy and warm enough to wear over other clothes. This is my favorite length/style of cardigan, but it’s RIDICULOUSLY hard to find good-quality. I can already tell this is going to last me for many years, and I truly cannot recommend it enough.

Wonderfully soft and warm cardigan. Fits great, slouchy but kind of elegant. Gorgeous forest-y green with variegated yarns within. I just love it. I'll get lots of use of out this classic. Thanks!
