The Fishing Trip raglan sweater brings together some of the renowned Aran stitches. Great Aran sweaters are about balance and symmetry, it’s about hardworking garments of simple beauty. Today's ‘fishing trip’ is more likely to be for relaxation and adventure, rather than necessity. An interwoven trellis sits at the strong center panel, bordered by rope cables and a family tree stitch. This sweater is knit in an area overlooking the wonderful seaport of Killybegs in County Donegal, the most productive knitting region in Ireland for over a century.
