How to measure a sweater

1. Sleeve length (overarm)

Lay a sweater on a flat surface, front side down
Using measuring tape, measure the distance from the center of the back of the neck to the cuff hem

2. Body length

Lay a sweater on a flat surface
Using a measuring tape, measure the distance from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem

3. Chest

Lay a sweater on a flat surface
Using measuring tape, measure the distance from underarm to underarm
Double the number (e.g. if the distance is 22”, the chest measurement is 44”)

I absolutely love my Aran sweater cardigan. I bought it on my summer trip to Ireland, and it is just now cool enough in the US to wear it. You can dress this sweater up or down. The Hannah Aran is a good style if you are a plus-sized person. There aren't many options for plus-sized arans, but this style works great. I like the longer length, and I might purchase another color. Blarney Woollen Mills has the best customer service.
