This sweater is knitted in Donegal, a picturesque county in the North West of Ireland. It is designed exclusively for Blarney Woollen Mills and is inspired by maritime life. The wool is sourced locally with a slightly more rugged feel than merino wool.

The sweater itself is chunky, made to survive life on the Atlantic ocean with stitches evoking a bygone age. On average, it takes one of our knitters 40 to 50 hours to complete a sweater.

On a recent trip to Ireland, I bought a hand-knitted sweater for myself I wear it constantly when the weather is cool and it is warm and soft and beautiful. My husband regretted not getting one for himself, so I ordered this one. Absolutely gorgeous and, while not cheap, is worth every penny. You can see the quality in it.

I recommend this sweater more than anything. The price is very steep, but if you want the highest quality out there this sweater is for you. This is not a machine made cheap sweater. You can see every detail in the quality and craftsmanship of this product. It is very warm and very comfortable. It runs a little on the large side but I think the sweater is meant to be roomy, warm, and comfortable. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I am ordering another in charcoal gray as soon as possible. Highly recommended top quality product.
