Details

Established in 2005, Michelle Butler Ceramics specializes in the design and production of unique, Irish inspired ceramics. This Celtic Cross is handmade at the foothills of the Sperrin mountains in Ireland. It is made from a textured stoneware clay and finished with various rich colored glazes and metallic oxide. Celtic crosses found in Ireland often had abstract Celtic designs carved on them, and many were made from sandstone painted in bright colors.
