The summer sun symbol is found on several of the kerb stones at Newgrange Co.Meath, a 5000 year old prehistoric monument. These Irish symbols are thought to form the basis of early calendars. This tri color bangle has been handcrafted by its designer, Kieran Cunningham, in his workshop beside the picturesque Blessington Lakes.

Bought this for my Mom for Christmas. She has 2 other bangles from Blarney Woollen Mills, the Tree of Life and the Wild Atlantic, and loves wearing them and receives compliments often. Also, a bangle is much easier to put on and take off when sometimes fastening a bracelet can be a bit difficult.
