The summer sun symbol is found on several of the kerb Stones at Newgrange Co.Meath, a 5000 year old prehistoric monument. These Irish symbols are thought to form the basis of early calendars. This brooch has been handcrafted by its designer, Kieran Cunningham, in his workshop beside the picturesque Blessington Lakes.
