I was enthralled when I received my cape. I bought the Petrol color. The cape is magnificent - highest quality material and workmanship. I love the color, I had already purchased the travel cape in black and wanted a different color. I am smitten with the plaid lining. The pattern was so well done- the colors, scale. The wool is soft yet substantial. The weight is just right for cooler weather that we get plenty of here in New Hampshire - spring, fall and winter. It looks wonderful with dressier clothes or with my jeans. I have received numerous compliments on it and always praise the fine folks at Blarney Woollen Mills for the wonderful items I have purchased from them - a cape, scarves, sweaters and now this elegant, classic cape. I ordered this gorgeous cape in loden green for my wife and it fits perfect. She is 155 cm and length is just below knees. Shipping is very fast. Gift packaging is nice with green Irish paper and bow and of course could be improved with carton box instead of paper, because of courier delivery. Only thing that really bothers me is that this fantastic cape is made in Slovakia. Irish products should be made in Ireland, not Slovakia. Woollen products are tradition. All the best! MJ

Nice to be able to put up the hood when needed or snug up the scarf. I was worried about the one size, since I am small. But it's perfect. Reaches mid calf on me, which is fine. I have always wanted a cape like this one and fell in love with it the first moment I had it on. Shipping to Germany was no problem and it arrived even earlier than expected. Something I also appreciated was the minimal packaging and thus the minimal waste as fallout. If you want to wear the cape in a German winter, you have to be aware that you will still need a warm pullover or a fleece vest with longer gloves to go with it.

My husband picked this up for me in the Green during a work trip to Cork this past week and he arrived home today and gave it to me. It is absolutely stunning! First off I want to mention how great customer service is. I am short 4'11", and along with my height, this was a purchase I had been saving for. I needed specific information on the capes Blarney Woolen Mills carries to help ensure I purchased the one that would meet my needs. The young woman who answered my questions was fantastic and incredibly helpful. Shipping was awesome, I received it within a week, beautifully packaged and well protected. Now the cape, although I knew it would be long on me, I decided the 100% wool walking cape was the one for me. I live in upstate NY and it is cold here during the winter. I have been using this as my winter jacket and it is FANTASTIC even on below zero days. This cape is soft and although seems light weight, it is warm, cozy and I have lost count of the compliments I have received when wearing it. I am 100% happy with my purchase and love this cape. Although expensive, unlike so many things these days, this is a well made garment worth its price tag. Just in case someone short is looking at this, before alterations, the cape was below the knee, about mid cafe on me and seemed to have tons of material. Once shortened it fell beautifully and is a stunning cape even on a short, plump person.
