Motifs of animals, together with Celtic Knots and interlacing patterns, adorn the pages of ancient Irish manuscripts such as the Book of Kells. It is these illustrations that form the basis of the intricate designs featured on these earrings.

These are beautiful; as lovely in reality as in the photo. They are comfortable and easy to wear; They are much admired by all my friends. The reason I did not give Five Stars is that there are no safety butterfly backs furnished with the earrings. I bought them where I live as I did not want to loose an earring; which is so easily done. The shipping speed of products from Blarney is marvellous.
