Established in 2005, Michelle Butler Ceramics specializes in the design and production of unique, Irish inspired ceramics. The Celtic Bird plaque is handmade at the foothills of the Sperrin mountains in Ireland. It is made from a textured stoneware clay and finished with various rich colored glazes and metallic oxide. The Celtic Bird plaque is based on the heron, crane or stork which features in Celtic art. It was associated with life and features prominently in many ancient manuscripts.
