These blankets are beautiful. Thick. Gorgeous. It was made very clear before purchase they were random colours and sadly the colours were just too dark for me. Returned. Postage return will be refunded. I am still waiting a refund as parcel but yet received their end. I would like option even just to request lighter or darker colour ways.

These recycled wool throws are spectacular! Beautifully woven in lovely color schemes you’d think they were brand new. Soft & cozy, perfect to sit on the back of my chair to grab when I’m watching tv at night. I keep one at the end of the bed for my cat Seabiscuit who loves them as much as I do. I machine wash, cold water, gentle with a good wool wash like Euclans, then hang outside to dry. At this price they’re a steal. Don’t pass it up. I plan on buying more! Thanks, Blarney
I absolutely love these. Mine arrived, and my mother immediately ordered two more for herself. I love that they are recycled wool. They are a little scratchy and so are more picnic or patio blankets/throws than indoor. The service was excellent also, and the delivery prompt.

These are wool blankets. For centuries wool blanks have been known to itch. Lambs wool is a lot softer!

Arrived today. They’re gorgeous beyond expectations! One is earth colors with some periwinkle blue woven in, a slightly feminine touch. The other is all warm browns with darker browns, a real earth toned rug. They’re extremely lightweight but have a superior tight weave. Just a touch of fringe on the ends. The perfect size to drape on your comfy chair or sofa. I put the one with periwinkle on my bed as a topper and will sleep under it tonight along with my blue herringbone blanket purchased earlier this year. I love wool for the clean warmth it provides. My body stays at the perfect temperature for sleeping or, relaxing to a video. I love the fact that recycled wool is used, giving new life to this gift from our sheep friends. How the weavers managed to create such gorgeous color combinations is beyond me, especially in a plaid pattern as these are. This also lets others try the benefits of wool at a price most people can afford, especially for TWO blanket/throws. Kudos to Blarney! Buy these before they’re gone, you won’t be disappointed.
TWO STAR REVIEW, NOT FIVE. While the weight and warmth of these is fine, the colors as received were WAY OFF the representation in the pictures. While I know it is the luck of the draw, whereas the pix show light and bright colors, we received extremely dark and drab colors. Yuck. And for some reason I couldn't subtract starts from the template, so this item receives only TWO STARS from me.

Love my 4 throws! Put one in the car in case we ever get stuck in the cold. Sacrificed one for the cats by putting it in the washer on cold, shaking and line drying, yes they shrink a bit but are pure smelling...cats are obsessed and now sleep together. The others are gifts. When they were delivered I handed the package to my wife and she was quite excited when she saw these two beautifully woven throws. The colors were bright and match our rooms colors perfectly, they are an excellent value.
When we looked at the Blarney Woolen catalog we realized that we had visited that wonderful store on our visit to Ireland and we had made several purchases there as well. My wife also tells everyone that the best Irish coffee she ever had was at Christys, and the food there was great as well. Blarney Mills sells first rate products with first rate customer service, it’s wonderful to do business with them.
I ordered two sets and received 4 blankets - each one different. My mother was able to pick one out that she loved and I had two that matched each of the rooms I had in mind - the “bonus blanket” is very handy in the room where we all gather because there is always more than one person looking for a little something warm. They are lovely in color and seem to get softer with more use. I appreciate being able to buy an eco-conscious selection. Looking forward to visiting my daughter who now lives in Cork so we can stop by the store.

Bought two of these for the long evenings ahead sitting on the patio. Rustic feel and finish, really warm, my two have gorgeous check patterns, which will look lovely draped over the garden chairs but withstand the kid’s traipsing around the garden with them. Not the softest but not uncomfortable on the skin, I expect that they’ll soften with use and be robust enough to withstand being part of family life for years to come.

This is the second set of recycled wool throws that I have purchased. from Blarney. I wanted to have four for our small, outdoor Thanksgiving dinner so we all have something to wrap up in. They are nice sturdy throws that lend themselves to outdoor use and have been great for this Covid-19 autumn when we are extending our outdoor socializing. I am only giving four stars as this latest two are a little louder in their colors than the first set that I bought, which is less to my personal taste, but that does not impact their quality. As these are intended for outdoor use, it doesn't really matter much.

These are exactly what you described, not for baby, but great "working throw" keep one int the car, great for picnics, watching sport games whether on the grass or warming the butt on cold metal benches. Dirt does not want to cling to them, have got 4 so far , great mix of colors in mine. Got to get more for the hunting shack.
Quality of these is very good, yes they are rough but beautifully woven. I saw these in the store when we visited Ireland and loved the colours and the fact they are recycled. However, extremely disappointed in the variety I received--I ordered 2 sets (4 blankets). 3 of the 4 are the same with lots of brown the other brown and blue. You would think when the person threw them in the box they could mix up the colours. That's what makes them interesting.
I love these throws and I love the surprise of colors which you would think is crazy but it’s so fun and especially because of the 10 throws in total I have ordered crazy enough they have matched a bedroom a family room my mini van for traveling. Have to my friend who is from Ireland and it just happens to match her living room and she loves it! A little scratchy but really not an issue. It is crazy how happy these have made me! Great gifts!

My low score is because I was very disappointed when I received the blankets as they sent two of the same exact blanket - the photos in the listing online show different blankets so I was expecting to get two different ones. The quality and color is great and I have other blankets from them but would have been nice to know I would be getting two of the same blankets before ordering.

I received my throws about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love them. The colors are bright and colorful; but most importantly, they are warm. I purchased this set on sale and they arrived quickly (I live in the US). They are sturdy and while a little rough at first I do think they'll soften with use. One is on my couch now and the other will go in the car for emergencies and impromptu picnics. The colors are more brown and dark red than the yellow and green in the photo but I still love them. I visited the Blarney store when on a trip to Ireland with my mom and I browse the website frequently for my next touch of Ireland to bring home.

Wow! These throws arrived so quickly! While they are not colors I had hoped for, the quality is very nice for the price. Mine are a mix of tan, orange, and green with a loose, textured weave. They will make wonderful gifts. My husband made me laugh because he saw the tags that said "rug" and thought they were floor coverings. I will order more someday and hope to get some shades of blue.

I have many Blarney throws and rugs and I ordered these rugs based largely on their bargain price ($70 for 2) and wondered what their quality would be like as they were described as 'recycled' wool.
I would describe their texture as strong. Certainly they do not have a lambs wool feel about them. These to me are real 'working' rugs with heaps of character. No worries if they fall on the floor or pick up twigs or leaves at a picnic.. They are SO warm and welcoming . Colours are as you would expect from 'recycled' products ... a bit of everything but beautifully woven. The two rugs that I received are totally different in colour. The rugs are finished off with a delightful and substantial Blarney label stating they are made of recycled wool. A nice touch!
