The Irish language 'Failte' translates as 'Welcome'. This Ceramic wall hanging plaque depicts a Celtic eagle inspired by an ancient Irish illuminated manuscript. Birds were considered by the ancient Celts to be sacred messengers from the other world.

I ordered one plaque as a gift (a different design) and this one for myself. The plaque is as shown in the photos and is nice and solid. Great! The two plaques arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Good work, Blarney Woollen Mills!

I had bought two of the Failte and Slainte ceramics when we were in Ireland this summer as gifts for family. I like them so much I then ordered four more when we returned home - one of each for my house and the others as additional gifts for friends. They are lovely!
